BASIC Seminars

BASIC seminars are one-time training experiences that are designed to equip a person to spend their lifetime faithfully following Jesus. Each seminar provides tools and understanding for helping the twenty-first century person live a Christ-centered life.

BASIC 1

GET CONNECTED
BASIC 1 introduces the participant to Chapel Hill Baptist Church: what we believe, why we believe in such a way, what we practice, why we practice in such a way, and the foundational tenants of the church as found in scripture. This seminar encourages membership in Chapel Hill as well as involvement in small groups and the life of the church. The goal of BASIC 1 is to encourage participants to begin the journey of living a Christ-centered life.

BASIC 2

TOOLS FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH
BASIC 2 equips the participant in the following: multiple methods for reading, listening, and studying God’s Word; multiple methods of prayer; helps for living daily as God’s steward; and helps for developing fellowship and authentic relationships. The goal of BASIC 2 is to give the participant the tools to develop their relationship with God and with other Jesus followers.

BASIC 3

YOUR PLACE IN GOD’S GRAND DESIGN
BASIC 3 helps the participant to explore how God has uniquely created them for being his instrument to impact the church. The goal of BASIC 3 is to help each person explore their spiritual gifts, their motivational passions, their innate and learned skillsets, their personality type, and assess their life experiences. God has used all of these factors to make each follower of Jesus a unique and vital part of the local church.

BASIC 4

LIVING EACH DAY ON MISSION

BASIC 4 guides participants to examine Jesus’ mission on earth. Since each follower of Jesus is called to become like Jesus, it is important that we equip ourselves to fulfill this calling each day wherever we find ourselves to be. The goal of BASIC 4 is to equip participants to share their faith at school, work, or play and to take advantage of God-given opportunities to be bearers of the Gospel to others.
