Recreation Ministry

The recreation ministry at Chapel Hill exists to encourage members and guests of all ages to be physically fit as well as spiritually fit. We accomplish this through a variety of activities. For more information or to sign up, contact Rob Livingston.

Upward Soccer

Registration starts in July for our Fall Upward Soccer League. Kids 4 years old through 6th grade are invited to register to play Upward Soccer. The league consist of 10 weeks of practice and 8 games. Each week your child will have 1 practice and 1 game. Through Upward Soccer kids will not only learn the basics of the game of soccer but they will also be introduced to Jesus and how He can change our lives from the inside out.

3rd & 17 Football Camp

Each spring we have our annual 3rd & 17 Football camp for kids who have completed Kindergarten through 8th grade. This camp is hosted by former University of Alabama walk-on quarterback Jonathan Richey. Jonathan, along with other former UA football players and local coaches, put together a 1-day football camp where kids will not only leave understanding the fundamentals of football but also the fundamentals of living a Christ centered life. This camp is typically the last Saturday in May or the first Saturday in June.

Senior Adults

We believe recreation is not just for the young but also the young at heart. We offer a weekly recreation activity time for our Senior Adults. These activities include Wii bowling, tennis, boxing and golf as well as Brain games, including dominoes. In 2016, we will add a Forever Young Fitness class once a month. Senior Adult recreation meets on Thursdays from 11-12.

Ladies Cardio Classes

In 2015, we launched the Fitness, Fun and Faith small group. This class is for ladies of all ages and abilities. Classes will meet on Sunday nights from 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm. Come join us for a 30-40 minute fitness class followed by a Bible study.
