Rob
Livingston grew up in Tamaqua, Pa. He played baseball, he bowled, and
played the tenor saxophone. It was the saxophone that brought him to
Tuscaloosa in 1997 to march in the Million Dollar Band. Along with
traveling with the Tide, he received his degree in Early Childhood
Education and Elementary Education. In 2001 he met a beautiful woman who
helped introduce him to Christ. In 2002 he gave his life to Christ and
was baptized. He started working at Chapel Hill’s Summer Camp that same
June. Rob was a counselor for two summers before taking over as Director
in 2005, and is still very involved today.
The
same beautiful girl who led him to Christ became Rob’s wife in May of
2003. Erica and Rob have three wonderful children: Henry, Coelton, and
Lillia. Erica works as the Freshman Chemistry Lab Coordinator at the
University of Alabama. When they are not working they enjoy spending
time together with their kiddos.
Rob
began as a volunteer Children’s director, worked bi-vocationally for
years, and in 2013 was moved to full time Director of Children’s
Ministries and Recreation. Rob drove a school bus for many years in the Tuscaloosa County school system. If you saw a guy in a crazy hat, that was probably him! Over the years, Rob has served in various positions including interim youth pastor and interim administrator. In January 2019, he became the full time Minister of Children, Recreation and Administration. In December 2019, he received a M.A.C.E. Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Rob
enjoys spending time with his family, Alabama football, and traveling.
He still enjoys bowling and dreams of bowling his 3rd perfect game (300)
someday. Until then, he will just be happy teaching his kids how to
play baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, and (just about) anything
else they’d like to learn.
