Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry wants to partner with parents in laying a spiritual foundation in the life of a child and help them grow in a relationship with Christ. Proverbs 22:6
Chapel Hill Children’s Small Groups exist to Reach, Teach and Minister to children in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade.
On Sunday mornings we reach and teach the kids at Chapel Hill through fun activity-filled Bible studies in our Small Groups and high energy worship. Small Groups meet at 9am in the Surf Shop on the second floor, and worship meets on the Ocean Floor in the gym at 10:30.
On Sunday nights at 6:15 p.m. we dive into God’s word through age-appropriate Bible study. Come explore God’s word with us.
Wednesday’s kids participate in mid-week missions activities. Kids 1st through 4th grade participate in mission studies and a monthly mission project. Past projects include coat drives, ringing Salvation Army bell, nursing home visits, busy bags, international prayer bracelets and first-responder snacks. Mid-week missions kids are separated into a boys group and a girls group.

Children's New Member Class

This class is for elementary children who have expressed interest in being saved or have already made that decision. We meet for 4 1-hr classes that your child attends either on a Sunday morning or a Wednesday night. This class will be offered several times a year. The New Christians classes are held in the Surf Shop.

Preteen Ministry

Our preteens find themselves in an unusual position within the church. They are too old for most of the children’s activities but are not quite ready for the youth group. They are “tweeners” and we want to meet their needs here at church. We strive to build relationships with our 5th and 6th graders by reaching them through our Sunday morning Small Groups where they engage in age-appropriate Bible studies. They are challenged to refocus their relationship with God with Sunday night Life Groups. On Wednesday nights we get back together to refuel for the week ahead.
Throughout the year we have many activities planned to connect with our preteens including lock-ins, day trips and a summer retreat. We believe that connecting to students at this age is important as they build trusting relationships and prepare to step off into the world ahead.
